Service was excellent, food was incredible! Beth greeted us warmly at the door and Camille and Isaiah took great care of us during our stay. We didn’t order cocktails today but bartender Jason came by to say hi and make sure we had a great time. We both had The Sammy, a wonderful english muffin breakfast sandwich with both bacon and homemade sausage and an egg fried just how I like. I specifically brought my guest here because he loves grits - Chef Dan’s are to die for. The stuffed french toast was absolutely decadent, and definitely contributed to my post-brunch coma. Overall a fantastic experience. We’ll be back soon to try the winter menu!

My wife and I enjoyed the whole experience at the restaurant. You could tell the food and plating was prepared by classical French trained chefs, the staff was attentive but not hovering and our waiter did a great job describing each dish (you could tell he took pride in his job and the restaurant). We will be back to try the summer menu.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday. Family enjoyed the food & atmosphere.

I bought my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved it! Though it was not our first time, going to Blackwall Barn & Lodge always feels like a new experience. The servers, Tasha and Christy, were working double time with serving the floor and the bar, but they were consistent and attentive as well as just fun to interact with. The managers do not shy away from helping run food and speaking to customers. For appys, we order the fried tomatoes and a caesar salad. My bf has a tree nut allergy, and the caesar salad does come with almonds and granola, but they were apologetic and expeditious in providing a new salad without. Our entrees were EXCELLENT! We both had specials, I had the crusted lamb with mashed potatoes and veggies and he had the salmon with polenta....amazing! As it was his birthday, they no longer do the free dessert, but they offer a coupon and card for your next visit. Overall, I will be returning....with or without him LOL

The food was incredible. We did the 3 course dinner and it was exceptional. Sarah was our server, she was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant.
