This place is awesome and I have been there a few times and keep coming back because the food and service is great oh and can’t forget the drinks are amazing.

The food is the star here. The fried chicken is definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the catfish and that was also amazing. My son got the jambalaya pasta, which was a huge portion; very good and easily made 2 meals. Dessert was excellent as well. The place is very noisy, so be warned. At the end of the day, the food + cocktails are a little bit pricey (assume $50 per person for apps, cocktails, food, dessert) but I would definitely go back for the fried chicken, especially. Service is also really good.

Food is top tier, but reasonably priced. Best braised short rib I’ve had in recent memory. Spouse’s seafood pasta was also thumbs up (homemade pasta). We advised through Open Table that it was our anniversary & the restaurant had our table ready in front of the fireplace. The wait staff was superb (kudos Megan) and managers were attentive but not intrusive. Megan recommended the apple cinnamon bread pudding for dessert, which topped off our evening perfectly.

The food was good and the service was great. Had the fried green tomatoes. Very good.

I wanted a quiet atmosphere with good food because I knew that my colleague and I had much to discuss. Rips was positively wonderful.
