Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. The back, bookable room is lower, lower lighting, lower seating, perhaps a slight calm compared to the front room, here works of art from friends of the restaurant adorn the walls and floors.Book now to reach Nirvana.

We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Ambiente piacevole e raffinato, anche se il locale è molto grande, non è dispersivo ne rumoroso. Personale molto attento e servizio curato. Il cibo decisamente buono e di qualità, ottima scelta di pesce che viene cucinato al momento. Unica nota davvero dolente il conto, malgrado fosse tutto davvero molto apprezzato, credo che oltre 150£ a testa per: un antipasto condiviso, 2 gamberoni (ottimi davvero), un pesce ai ferri per due con contorno di melanzana ai ferri, dessert e 2 calici di vino, siano un po’ tanti. Detto questo se siete pronti a pagare un prezzo salato per avere comunque una cena di qualità in un bel posto e serviti bene, il ristorante decisamente merita. Peraltro siamo sempre a Londra…

Acest restaurant mia lăsat cele mai bune impresii! Gazde ospitaliere, preparate delicioase, prezentare frumoasă, listă largă de vinuri și desert minunat. Personalul este foarte prietenos si stiu ce fac și despre ce vorbesc, iar tu poți spune că fericirea clienților este principala lor prioritate. Recomand tuturor! Este restaurantul meu favorit din Londra !!!
