Great menu full of lovely choices of fresh local fish as well as other meat dishes. Fish was cooked to perfection. It is on the expensive end, but great food.

What a Sunday roast feast! Delicious food and plenty of it. Very friendly service, a blazing wood fire and a lovely dining area. Could not have been better.

On my visit, I began with an exquisite Rillettes de Porc with some off-menu toasted bread. I followed this with an indulgent Bœuf Bourguignon accompanied by a tangy Gratin Dauphinois and fresh Haricot Vert. The staff were an absolute delight—attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work. They were happy to make recommendations, explaining food combinations with detail and enthusiasm. Every interaction felt personal, adding an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The restaurant offered subtle touches of a French bistro, a cosy yet sophisticated charm. It's perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group get-togethers. It's not budget dining, but the quality of the food, impeccable service, and overall experience justify the cost. This is a traditional pub serving the community but also giving visitors a warm welcome. We’ve eaten here a number of times over the years when visiting the are but this was our first visit under the new ownership. Happily the standards have remained high and we had a delicious meal in a relaxed cosy setting and were well looked after by the staff. Our dog was really welcomed with dog treats and a bowl of water.
