King Umberto is a family-owned Italian restaurant that has been serving the Elmont community for over 40 years. The restaurant is known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, as well as its delicious food. The menu features a wide variety of classic Italian dishes, as well as some more modern creations. Some of the most popular dishes include the Fried Capellini, the Chicken Marsala, and the Stuffed Veal Chop. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list, with over 350 wines to choose from. In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. A place for our community to gather and share food and drink that are crafted of the finest in-season regional ingredients. Table preference will try to be honored but can not be guaranteed.

Had a great time at Prime. The food was outstanding, as were the drinks. The service was on point and our waiter was attentive to our needs. Will definitely be returning here in the near future.

Can't say enough good things about Beginnings. Food was great and portions very large. Many dishes can be shared easily. The restaurant felt so warm and inviting. Really decorated nice. Service Excellent. If you like Fried Chicken, the 'Yardbird" is great. Go Enjoy!!
