This has been our favorite restaurant from when it was in New Canaan and Darien and now in Cannondale. We love the food, the waiters and staff, and the Owners. Angela and Sandy Baldanza are our friends, and we love them dearly. You know that they are doing something right because their staff, brothers Mario and Lauro, have been fixtures here for years. The food was just amazing!! My son had the lobster special and I had the beef Wellington. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. And service is so friendly.

Amazing service, great steak and wine list. The Brussels sprouts with bacon and mashed potatoes with garlic were delicious. The crème brûlée was perfectly balanced with berries. Overall a great experience, will definitely go back.

What a find. We live no where near South Salem, but saw this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We had no real expectations, but it had to exceed any we MIGHT have had. The food was delicious and the decor warm and welcoming, BUT the best thing about the la Vista was the wait staff. Everyone one of them showed that they truly love what they do. They all were so attentive. We liked it so much we're going back next weekend wand we're bringing some family with us.

Wonderful experience overall, ambience, service, food all very good. A tad difficult to converse because of background noise, but not terribly so. Prices quite high, but in line with other restaurants of this caliber. Would definitely recommend.
