Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. A little history on our namesake: The Linwood Hotel: John B. Pullis established the Linwood Hotel in about 1888. Located on the Southeast corner of South Clinton Avenue and Linden Place, the Linwood Hotel temporarily housed WW1 Navy flyers from the Bay Shore Aero Station while their barracks were being constructed. The Linwood was destroyed by fire on October 11, 1925.

    We sat in main dining room which was pretty with great water views. The bar section had live music and even people playing corn hole having fun. Our entrees, cocktails and service were excellent. I always enjoy dining at the View. Never disappoints!

    My husband and I went to this restaurant last night for a date. The location is a little smaller on the inside but that doesn't take away from how amazing everything was. From the mixed drinks to the appetizers, to the main courses.... nothing less than amazing! We were seated right away, our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I 100000%%% recommend and will be going back again.
