Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Our server, Nevaeh was outstanding: attentive, kind, friendly, and super helpful. The host was excellent and walked me to and from my car. I cannot remember his name. I ordered from the secret menu, it was just like the picture I saw on Instagram, delicious, fresh and a generous serving. I met the chef/owner and he was very pleasant professional and greeted me with a smile and a handshake. It was my first time visiting, and I will be back. Everything was done with excellent excellence.

Delicious food! A bit noisy, but not impossible to have a conversation. Service was average, but satisfactory. I would definitely go back. There were lots of things on the menu I’d like to try.

The Oakland Bramble cocktail was delicious. The service was impeccable. It was a bit cold inside the restaurant. My Spanish tortilla could have been warmer. My husband was pleased his burger was delicious and fries fresh and portion large! The panna cotta for dessert was delicious.

The very best value for a tasting menu style restaurant. Absolutely delicious courses, great adventurous wine list (with a great sommelier), terrific cocktails, excellent service, in a comfortable, non-stuffy, non-pretentious setting. It gets a little loud as time goes by (especially at a table for our party of 6), but not impossibly so.

We were back to Commis after 8 years and it did not disappoint! Great, state of art food! We will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner!
