The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. On Thursdays, enjoy our wood fired pizza pop-up and our legendary Quirky Quiz runs every other Wednesday. Service was excellent, food excellent, decor and vibe excellent. Would I eat there again? Yes Is it right next door to the train station for easy access ? Yes Was it the best Indian food we have had? Yes Yes id recommend this place - no need to think just go there.

Great service friendly staff. We booked via an open table experience for my daughter's birthday. The king prawn puree was excellent. Portion sizes were good. We had chicken tikka, fish tikka, chicken shaslic, lamb biryani, butter and garlic nans, plain rice. Enjoyed the bengali beer as had not had it before. Definitely worth a visit.
