Solid Italian restaurant that is especially convenient for Celtics or Bruins games and concerts at TD Garden. It's a 10 minute walk to the facility. I would not say the food or service was exceptional, but very good and I would go there again.

We always enjoy the food, like sitting at the bar & meeting interesting people. The server at the bar seemed a little overwhelmed, it took some time to get his attention & place our orders. And I wish they had the Women’s final basketball game on the TV instead of soccer.

We go to Filippo’s every time we are in the North End for a game or just visiting. If you’re looking for authentic red sauce Italian this is the place. Their veal is also particularly excellent, the Saturday night is fantastic, light tender veal with mushrooms and lemon, incredible. Filippo’s is an institution, with signed pictures from Presidents and more. Highly recommend for great drinks and Italian before a game.
