We serve food that, more often than not, accesses that part of our deepest soul where genuine expression can flow forth. We have always tried to give our food and service our best selves, as honest and vulnerable as we can muster. We strive to be a place where you might actually have a real connection; maybe with your server, maybe with your food or maybe with your possibly gracious host who is ACTUALLY glad you’re there.

Oh, you wanted a restaurant description? Sorry. Can’t really help you there. We’re not so big on labels. Our food is hard to nail down as we are constantly evolving and entirely seasonal and personal. We’ve used “Food you eat” as a tag line on occasion and that remains accurate. We could also describe it as “Food we really want you to eat”. When you’re here, tell us what you would call it.

FireFly is amazing! We've been going there for years, not very often but we should probably go more. We enjoyed an amazing day-after-Valentine's Day dinner with excellent champagne and wine. Food is always top-of-the-line gourmet yet familiar comfort food. The chicken is always amazing and I ventured to try the Moqueca Baiana with Rockfish, Shrimp and Scallops which was amazing. A Noe Valley institution, highly recommend.

This is one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. The restaurant was cozy and the staff was extremely accommodating to my guest's dietary needs. Each person there gave off the best vibes. The ambience was immaculate and I loved all the furnishings. Finding a restaurant that is entirely gluten-free and takes it seriously is not easy. 20/10 recommend coming here for a fantastic evening with your friends or family.

A special restaurant that offers an amazing dining experience in the heart of Noe Valley. Warm, welcoming staff and a wonderful menu, this place has all the ingredients for a special evening. Highly recommend.

Really nice waitstaff and ambiance. Wonderful to find a restaurant with such delicious gluten free choices. In fact, everything was GF!

We enjoyed another delicious, special, welcoming meal at neighborhood gem (but really a dining destination) Firefly. Longtime favorites cheesy bread, Brussels sprouts & fried chicken w biscuits continue to shine, and we loved the hearty butternut squash/lentil salad and trout dishes too. Wine selection is interesting yet accessible, and desserts are fantastic. Bon appetit!
