Experience the beauty of the Pacific Ocean combined with world-class dining on historic Cannery Row, just a short walk from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The newly renovated Fish Hopper, housed in an original sardine cannery building, offers spectacular views of the stunning Monterey Bay from every table, including our heated outdoor patio. The Fish Hopper specializes in fresh, sustainable seafood, certified Angus beef, pastas, and live shellfish. Our seafood is either locally caught or shipped in fresh daily, and our produce is locally grown in the Salinas Valley. Some favorites include fresh Monterey Bay abalone, macadamia-crusted halibut, our famous “Tomahawk Chop” bone-in rib eye, and fresh Dungeness crab. Start your meal with our award-winning clam chowder, and indulge in one of our many exotic cocktail creations or a selection from our extensive wine collection.     Amazing service and food! I would have passed this place by as a tourist trap but decided to give a try based on reviews. Had the sesame salmon and hubs had the ahi - both cooked to perfection. The sides included really lovely and unexpected flavors. Don’t let the ‘tacky touristy’ signage fool you - this is really fine dining!

    First time there. Food was great and the views were amazing. Unfortunately, was seated next to a guy who loved his own loud voice. Otherwise, great experience.😊

    Good but nothing special - basic wharf food and staff was ok but it was loud and the food seemed premade and sitting to be served

    Great view of Monterey at night! I had the seafood pasta and it was good- though a bit rich. My sister had the salmon and it was DELISH- wish I had ordered that instead, it came with buttered veggies and a YUM risotto. My mom ordered the MAhi Mahi and it was bland - not great. Cesar salad and warm bread were a must. Glass of Sauv was just OK. We got complimentary dessert for my moms meal coming out late- Tiramisu, it was good.

    We have been coming to the Fish Hopper Restaurant for many years. We love the locals menu. It is a great value without sacrificing quality. The macadamia crusted local halibut is also a favorite. Thank you Sabu!
