The space was a little tight for NYE, but I was dining alone so I loved my little cozy window corner. The pre fix menu was good and offered some vegetarian friendly options. I, however, am vegan. I tried to call ahead to get more information about substitutions, but nonetheless not many could be made. My server, though, was very understanding and tried to accommodate as much as possible. That's the only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars, because I felt I didn't get the full experience. I wasn't able to enjoy my full entree, which was swordfish, because I had to take the fish off of the risotto which had plenty cheese. I also couldn't eat the dessert because both options were dairy options. But, if you don't have any diet restrictions then this place was truly a pleasant quaint spot. The service was well managed, even during a busy holiday night. I would recommend it to friends, for sure.

                                                                                Attentive staff, delicious food (don’t miss the Sunday Gravy and short rib agnolotti), and half-priced wine bottles on Sundays and Wednesdays—such a great surprise!

                                                                                There's a really, really lovely ambience in this restaurant, but unfortunately, the service we experienced was disappointing. It may have just been a one night slip up but these are the things that didn't happen, that perhaps should have happened. We asked for an ice bucket for our wine...we waited but it never arrived so we had to ask again. We finished our starters and the empty plates were left in front of us - nobody came to take them away until a server came with our next course and so had to stack the plates in order to make space for our main courses. We had no knives so had to ask for some before we could eat our main course. Food wise, I ordered a baby beet salad with arugula, apple and walnuts. I expected the baby beets to be the main feature - but, it was a huge pile of arugula and you had to hunt for the baby beets which could have been any beets as they were just small cubes... the salad should have been called an arugula salad with.... However, finishing on a positive note, the scallops and prawn risotto was delicious as was the butternut squash ravioli. We did speak to the manager who could not have been more accommodating and did remove my starter from the bill and kindly offered a free dessert (which we didn't have), so we have no complaints... and we would definitely go back - as I say, it may just have been a one off bad night for the service.
