As phenomenal as the ambiance and view were at the Foundation Room, the food was equally amazing! Our reservation secured the table on the 63rd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino with views overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and executive airport. We ordered the wagyu NY strip, Mac and cheese. It was a succulent cut seared to perfection.

Beautiful view by the window. The service was amazing. Filet mignon and potatoes were delicious. The free dessert was so tasty.

It was very odd - we had never dined at the Foundation Room. They claim there is a strick dress code but we saw quite a variety including their own empl. Once we were permitted past the front host stand you are on your own - they dont instruct you whats next - the elevator is in a dark area, hard to find the button. We finally entered and press the obvious floor. when we were done dining, once again we are left to figure out the button to get on the elevator which was down past the elevator doors. Not in a normal location. Nect time (if) I guess we will know? The food quality did not match the price being charged and if it hadnt been for the view and Joey our waiter, it would have been a complete disappointment. The young lady who seated us was very sweet and offered food suggestions. Joey also offered us a review of the menu prior to ordering and was very attentive. I would say it was a very interesting venue and various missed opportunitys to have made a great dining experience.

This is a great place to dine. Very old world decor which gives it a beautiful cozy atmosphere. I had a garden salad and the pistachio crusted lamb loin and husband had chopped salad and short ribs. All were excellently prepared , presented, and delicious. We took our celebratory champagne to-the outside deck to look at the strip and the lights which was very nice. The deck has nice sofas and chairs on it if you want to have your cocktail outside. Very pleasant. Our total including tip was 300.00$. We also had some wine with dinner.
