Outstanding service and an inviting atmosphere make Fried Green a must stop while in downtown historic Galena, Illinois. Fried Green Tomatoes is the place for steak, fresh scallops, and homemade lasagna. Reservations accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a multi-level dining facility in a historic downtown building. For the dining enjoyment for all of our guests, we do not provide highchairs or booster seats.

The service was very good. The steaks were a bit pricey but excellent. The salad was prepared with a lettuce that was shaped like coral and it was too bitter, I would prefer a different variety of at least a blend. Currently my number one choice for a restaurant.

We were there for a girls weekend and my sister in laws birthday. We’ve been before. Exceptional service, had a reservation (highly recommend), sat immediately. We had drinks, mussels, steak, sea bass and chicken Marsala. Loved the bread and house salad included with our meals. Topped off with a birthday dessert on the house. Everything was excellent, we’ll be back.

We had a delicious dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes. Excellent lasagna, bread, pork, soup, etc. Service was excellent as well.

All the food and drinks were pretty good, except for the chicken piccata , I did not enjoy. But overall we loved it here and would return

Came here for an anniversary and they did not disappoint. I marked that our reservation was for an anniversary and after letting the host know the name, he wished us a happy anniversary. We were sat near the window and they set out a little sign that said “happy anniversary”! Such a simple but amazing touch. The food was fantastic as well. The bread may have been the fluffiest I have ever tasted and the salad was delicious. We got the salmon bruschetta and spinach tortellini and they were both phenomenal! It was our first time visiting. I’m sure we will be back to Galena and we will be getting a reservation here every time we visit for sure. Definitely a must try! Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful anniversary dinner!

Service was fantastic. We all tried something we wouldn't normally. The pork shank and pork tenderloin were absolutely delicious.

From the host, to the bartender and our server Vera everything was fantastic!! Our dinner was delicious. We would definitely recommend when in Galena.
