Chef Sean A. Wight’s vision of an affordable yet stylish dining and social club is born in Frog Hollow Tavern. Located on the 1200 block of Broad Street, the space is a modern “Restaurant meets Bar” where a diverse crowd of people enjoy the company of others paired with a comfortable atmosphere, detailed service, and exquisite affordable cuisine.
Expect a dinner menu that features a substantial amount of local and regionally grown seasonal quality ingredients, and menu that offers unique libations, which encourages an active and lively upscale bar scene.
The wine list that boasts over a hundred value driven wines has a focus on sustainable, organic, or bio-dynamic practices. The bar also features a diverse offering of Scotches, Cognacs, Bourbons, and Vodkas, and includes many great classic and seasonal cocktails, all made with freshly squeezed juices and homemade mixes.

                                                Food was very good! I had the rack of venison with goat cheese potato au gratin and Brussels sprouts. Only complaint was that, though the potatoes had a lot of cheese in them I couldn’t taste any goat cheese. My husband had the butcher steak, served with shoe string French fries which was as good as always. We shared a crème brûlée that was excellent!

                                                Our waiter had superb knowledge of food and wine making this one of the best dining experiences i have had since i left San Francisco in 2010!!

                                                Everything from our server to the cocktails and food was fantastic! Resourcing local foods for freshness and quality. The vibe was cool and not too loud to hold a conversation with who you were with.

                                                Frog Hollow Tavern is my favorite restaurant in the world. I have been here about 10 times and never once had anything to complain about. Tonight my waiter Jonathan was incredible and everything he brought to the table was delicious!

                                                The small plates were exceptional We had the andouille sausage and the lettuce wedge. The large plate with the cowgirl ribeye was tough and had very little flavor. I asked for medium rare and got a medium. The duck large plate was under cooked and had several inedible pieces due to too much connective tissue. The spiced red wine sauce with the duck lacked flavor (out of a jar?) The scallops and risotto were excellent. For the prices charged overall the meal was disappointing.

                                                The server was super and apologetic, but for some reason, the kitchen was not as adequate as what the server was. Our entrées took post one hour to arrive. My business partners medium rare steak had been cooked a while before that, and was not even more. My entrée was at least warm, but not hot. It was not the experience we had in the past we will return, but clearly they were not operating on all cylinders that evening the restaurant was at that point in time, 60% occupied and they have begun turning down the heat for the night as the temperature was cooling off inside.

                                                I had an excellent experience at Frog Hollow Tavern. The staff were friendly and understanding when a member of my party was delayed in traffic. The server was well-informed, helpful, and never let a glass get empty. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was extremely comfortable and welcoming. I went for a business meeting, but will definitely be going back for personal events too.
