With a vibrantly colored indoor-outdoor dining room overlooking panoramic views of downtown Long Beach and the historic Queen Mary, Fuego is an amazing restaurant in Long Beach CA that specializes in mariscos (fresh seafood). Una terrazza sul mare con vista Queen Mary davvero molto bella. Cibo (cucina messicana) buono e curato. Personale gentile ed attento. Tornerò sicuramente

It was the perfect way to bring in the new year! We had a nice family dinner, listened to live music and watched the fireworks from Queen Mary!

This review is specifically for the new year's eve event on 12/31/2024. From the advertisement I understood there would be a live band and DJ. I imagined the DJ would play dancing / club music. Sadly there was very little attendance, and this could have worked if there was actually a DJ to work the small crowd. Dinner was great. Service is always top notch. But for $250 a person I expected dinner and a party. When I checked into the hotel at 4pm there were two ladies in front of me asking the front desk if there was going to be a party, they said yes, but that they would need reservations. It gave the impression the event was full or sold out. The front desk should have been informed to invite all guest checking in, to the party at a reduced price. The lack of attendance and lack of DJ made the overall event kinda lame. I've enjoyed many brunches and fuego and those are always a blast.

Service was very slow to start, but got better after got an assigned waiter. The food was not impressive and expensive. Tip was automatically charged even there were only 3 of us, which was not right. The hotel needs an updated. Will not come back.

We went there on the Christmas Day. The lady said $100 per person. I didn’t know that they automatically charge 20% tip even the worst service. They charge the corkage $30 if you bring the bottle of wine. The server didn’t tell us. The food was terrible cold and taste terrible. Never come back here.

Fuego has such a great ambiance, almost impossible to beat if you enjoy waterside dining with breathtaking views and understated elegance. Food is always tasty but service is typically a bit spotty, but the ambience usually makes up for any service glitches. Last night’s prix fixe Christmas dinner, though, was so RUSHED, not enjoyable. There are many examples but the most offensive one was our party of three were still eating our dinners, plates in front of us, when the server brought the desserts and inquired if we were done. Two of us were not, but the server removed our plates (still with dinner on them) and left the ice cream topped desserts in their place. We were not slow diners. Our dinner plates were removed within 20 mins of being served but then replaced with dessert. We were in and out within 65 mins of being seated. My guess is the aim was to turn tables every hour on Christmas. We asked the server why it was so rushed, as it wasn’t crowded. He said the kitchen staff was controlling the pace. We suggested the diners themselves should set the pace, especially if they’re not lingering too long. Expense was expected, including ridiculous validated parking fee, but we didn’t expect to have to be in and out in just under an hour.

The food was delicious and the ambiance was really nice with live music and views of the marina. Their coffee is yummy too! The waiters were really nice but the hostess looked like she didn’t want to be there. I still recommend this place!

Service was good. Parking lot was ample and the $5 fee for parking with Fuego validation is reasonable. Food was okay but view and service are excellent.
