   Portion size was very small, must order more than one appetizer and a salad to feel full. The chipotle butter that was used on the bread was not good. The crab was so minimal in the crab gnocchi that I did not even realize I was eating any crap till I realized it was flaked into the sauce at the very end. Wife was happy with her wagyu steak. The one desert That I was interested in was removed right after it was presented to me by another server. Ended up not getting a desert after that happened. I was very disappointed with my overall experience.

   We chose Gardners to celebrate my wife's birthday. It happened to be on an evening featuring their $100 Dinner for Two special. We hadn't been there in years and were excited to return. We were surprised by the apparent renovations of the space since our last visit. It seems to have lost its "fine-dining", intimate ambiance, with counter seating and many more tables than in the past. Not the quiet, slow paced, special feeling we were hoping for. Other patrons were noisy and the place was buzzing with folks coming and going. The food was very good, and we wondered if the atmosphere might be better on evenings when the special isn't offered. Feeling disappointed that an old Olympia favorite has fallen to the dark side, likely to meet profit margins.

   Gardeners, once again absolutely blows our minds! hands down, the best restaurant in the greater Olympia area. The food is absolutely delicious!! Our favorite restaurant by far.

   My husband and I ate dinner there last night to celebrate our anniversary. We were blown away by the friendly and knowledgeable staff and delicious food! We could easily tell how passionate they are about making quality, creative food, while also staying true to their roots. Every detail was well thought out. It’s well worth the splurge!

   the staff was very nice as I had mentioned we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The appetizer and french onion soup were delicious. Both main courses were disappointing. I ordered the lamb and it was over cooked, they did cook a couple new chops but then they were rare, but they did bring the sauce they forgot to bring with the first plating. My wife ordered the gnocchi with dungeness crab which there was very little and she didn’t tell me it was almost cold when she got it. The people were really nice but the food disappointing after hearing nice things about them

   I love Gardner's! The food is always exceptional, as is the staff! I always ask for Mary Kay when I make a reservation. She's the best!
