Opened in 1980, Garibaldi is an anchor and landmark in Savannah dining. Forty-three years later, we are still innovating and evolving! Garibaldi offers fresh local seafood, shellfish, wonderful steaks and chops in a warm sophisticated environment with gracious and professional service. Garibaldi also features specially crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. We are opened Tuesday - Saturday opening at 5:00 p.m.. Our last reservations are at 9:30, we do not close until later after everyone has enjoyed their dining experience. We hope to see you soon.

Located in the heart of Savannah"s historic City Market, Garibaldi is housed in the 1871 Germanian Fire House. Built in classic Paladdian architecture, the building is a beautiful presence in the market area. In the fashion of the era, the firehouses were commonly community meeting places. Thus, the Germanian Society erected a Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the building. With sixteen foot ceilings, fourteen foot arched windows and vintage iron chandeliers, it is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Savannah, seating 120 and complete with its own private bar. The main floor is a beautiful Victorian room with lavish gilt mirrors, original pressed tin ceiling, romantically illuminated with whimsical chandeliers. Garibaldi offers a variety of menus, and specializes in customizing menus to your specific needs. Gracious service and outstanding food is our highest goal and has helped us earn the Zagat Award of Distinction once again for 2011/12.

The restaurant was busy but now exceptionally so. However, it took an hour to get our appetizers and another 30 minutes after that for our entrees. Our server never acknowledged the delays and disappeared for very long periods of time. When I finally went to the hostess about the delays and disappeared on our food, the manager was generous and responsive. The server was short with us and unpleasant for the rest of our meal. The food was great when we finally received it.

Hans is stupendous and makes the experience magnificent. Olivia was tremendous. She had several tables, both large and small, and handled them all with grace. The food was outstanding!! I cannot wait to return! I do not come to Savannah without stopping at Garibaldi.

Garibaldi turned out to be a wonderful choice for our anniversary celebration. The beautiful setting, delicious food, and excellent service all made it a night to remember. Bobby, our waiter, knew the menu inside and out and was very food-knowledgeable in general as well, offering us alternatives to ingredients that didn’t fit our dietary needs and asking questions not many people would have thought of.

The food was delicious and our waiter was awesome. We weren’t rushed through and the food was brought out in a timely manner. This is probably our favorite downtown restaurant. It never disappoints.

Lovely service on Christmas Eve. I had our 7!week old baby and needed to change her diaper and the servers were so gracious to give me an area to do that. The food was amazing- I had lobster pasta and my husband had the sea bass. The Caesar salad was delicious!

Absolutely first class all around. Thank you to all for making it a special evening. Charlie and Marissa were wonderful bartenders. This was our first visit to Garibaldis and we will absolutely be back soon.
