Opened in 1980, Garibaldi is an anchor and landmark in Savannah dining. Forty-three years later, we are still innovating and evolving! Garibaldi offers fresh local seafood, shellfish, wonderful steaks and chops in a warm sophisticated environment with gracious and professional service. Garibaldi also features specially crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. We are opened Tuesday - Saturday opening at 5:00 p.m.. Our last reservations are at 9:30, we do not close until later after everyone has enjoyed their dining experience. We hope to see you soon.

Located in the heart of Savannah"s historic City Market, Garibaldi is housed in the 1871 Germanian Fire House. Built in classic Paladdian architecture, the building is a beautiful presence in the market area. In the fashion of the era, the firehouses were commonly community meeting places. Thus, the Germanian Society erected a Grand Ballroom on the second floor of the building. With sixteen foot ceilings, fourteen foot arched windows and vintage iron chandeliers, it is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Savannah, seating 120 and complete with its own private bar. The main floor is a beautiful Victorian room with lavish gilt mirrors, original pressed tin ceiling, romantically illuminated with whimsical chandeliers. Garibaldi offers a variety of menus, and specializes in customizing menus to your specific needs. Gracious service and outstanding food is our highest goal and has helped us earn the Zagat Award of Distinction once again for 2011/12.

Waiter Shamari first class. Poached pear salad, shrimp risotto cake and crispy duck superb. Flourless chocolate torte to die for. Great place. Great value.

Disappointing thanksgiving dinner. Food and service were not very good. The price of the turkey special was surprisingly high for the quality.

Yesterday we had dinner with our family for Thanksgiving and our experience was magnificent. Our waitress explained the menu with absolute knowledge and suggested the special dishes. The squash and crab soup were excellent. The Turkey combo meal had a very good taste and the portion and temperature were perfect. The desserts were the final point to our journey: praline basket, Catalan cream and pecan pie

Beautiful, and elegant atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and tried his best to take care of us. We have high expectations when choosing fine dining and paying premium prices. The good, our entrees and wine were excellent. However, several little things were wrong and we had to get our waiters attention. He was fast to fix each situation, but it was a little annoying they were not caught by restaurant staff (chefs, and waiter). For example, the salad was missing its main ingredient, no forks for mussels appetizer. Also, the bread, mussels and dessert were below average for taste. We did have a nice night, but not sure we would return.

Dropped two stars from a long standing five-star rating. Private message sent to the restaurant in hopes that they will address a few issues. Don't rule them out - highly probable they may rebound.

Visiting Savannah for the Thanksgiving weekend and this was our first ever visit to Garibaldi. Beautiful atmosphere and great food options. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Our waitress was amazing super attentive to us and our needs. Would definitely go back here again on our next trip to Savannah

Made a reservation for 7pm. Got there 10 minutes early and they seated us right away. No wait. The food was fresh and amazing! The service was second to none! Highly recommend this establishment!
