    Decent food, not awesome. Salmon and risotto was good, elote fritters good but a bit too much aioli, root salad was OK, dressing was a bit salty. Nice ambiance. We sat inside though outside would have been nice if offered. Overall a good experience. Getting pretty expensive though. Daniel, our server did a nice job.

    Gertrude’s compliments the beauty of the Phoenix Dessert Botanical Garden. Our server Piper was so friendly. She made me feel like the most important person in the room though I overheard her with other patrons and well… she made everyone in the room be the most important person in the room. I ordered the root salad with a side of shrimp. The shrimp was perfect. The salad was tasty but I wouldn’t describe as a root salad. It was more of a green salad heavily topped with shredded root veggies. I tried my boo’s Gerti’s Burger. Tasted great too. The birthday card and free dessert was a nice surprise.

    Sadly, we were disappointed after waiting years for a chance to dine at Gertrude's. The wine list was pricey. The salads were very conventional, like what you'd get in a low end restaurant. The chicken was similarly boring. The burger was good but nothing special. Our waitress was hard working but over whelmed and made several mistakes. Definitely not worth the price or the hype.

    I love this establishment, pls Make Reservations, Did I say pls “Make Reservations” Katheryn our Server was phenomenal, very attentive and thoughtful. Ambiance is fun and relaxing. A must if visiting the Desert Botanical Garden

    Aside from the wonderful location, the level of the food would bring me back. I ordered the special of the appetizers which was amazingly delicious. It was pricey but worth it for its uniqueness. I added a small salad to round it out. The salad was not unusual but the dressing very tasty. The service was superb. The wait staff was extremely accommodating and attentive. They didn’t rush me and I’m a slow eater. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

    Totally enjoyed eating on the patio of Gertrude’s. There were many gluten free vegan options including dessert. Both the rice noodles and chocolate tart were delicious! My server was friendly and attentive.
