You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm, and their neighborhood hospitality makes guests feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible.

The contemporary American menu sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

                                      Excellent service, food, quality. Nice menu with pre-theater option. Dinner prices were reasonable for the quality but drinks and wine too pricey. Only downside is the noise level. Ask for a table upstairs as it is a bit quieter.

                                      Great lunch restaurant in the theatre district…. $35 two course lunch menu. Lovely food, great service. Cozy!

                                      Some of the best food in the theater district. They also well understand the theater clientele and get them out in time for performances.

                                      Pros: Food was outstanding. Atmosphere was nice and noise was not that loud. Cons: We did not have good service. After sitting for 15 minutes we had to ask for a server to come over. We ordered drinks and waited another 10 minutes, and had to ask once more, for them. Thus we were there about 25 minutes, and had to speak up twice, before receiving drinks. We again had to flag the waiter, with the help of other restaurant employees, to order. We again had poor service while trying to get the check. We had to ask twice, and finally had to speak loudly, "SIR", twice, before getting our check. He kept walking by our table and saying "I'll be back", but did not come back. We were in the restaurant over 2 hours for an experience that should have been 1.5 hours, max. And the meal would have taken longer than that had we not repeatedly had to ask for service; twice reaching out to other staff member to help us find our waiter. Food was excellent. Service was poor.

                                      The food and service was fine, we chose this restaurant because we were going to a show and knew based on reviews it was average and it was definitely average. Dirty martinis were great, beet salad and lamb Bolognese solid, crab cake meh. Service was average at best. We did love the holiday decorations and our sever was super nice.

                                      Oh, darling, let me paint you a picture. Imagine, if you will, a bustling bistro where the young, sprightly server flitted about like a moth to a flame—or, in this case, to a table of enchanting young ladies. Not once, not twice, but four times he attended to their every whim, all while we sat, mere phantoms to his oblivious eyes. Our food, ignored. Our presence, unnoticed. And getting the bill? A saga of epic proportions. It was a performance most unimpressive, and one I shan’t recommend for a repeat engagement.

                                      Service was terrible for brunch, two of three meals were awful. It took 15 minutes for them to decide who our wire was and then another 15 minutes to get water. Cocktails were good but honestly, I wouldn’t go back.
