With its warm, inviting, and modern design, Granite City Food & Brewery’s expansive interior features a spacious and comfortable dining room, four-sided modern, full-service bar, as well as an outdoor patio. The on-site brewery, with award-winning hand-crafted micro-brews, is visible from the main dining and bar areas. The restaurant also showcases an open kitchen featuring chef developed, handcrafted made-from-scratch cuisine, including innovative signature entrees, flatbreads and more.

Granite City Food & Brewery’s signature brews, which are made on-site, include The Duke (Pale Ale), The Bennie (Bock), The Northern (American Style Light Lager) and The Stout. Seasonal brews are featured throughout the year.

    Got seated quickly with a small wait. The part that took the longest was getting our appetizer. Overall food and drink was good.

    We were looking for a pleasant lunch after a hectic and trying week and decided to give Granite City a try. We placed on online reservation, but arrived early, and were greeted pleasantly and told no problem with being early. The young woman who greeted and seated us also ended up being our server. We each ordered fish and chips and we were presented with a huge battered fillet, prepared perfectly--crispy on the outside and flaky and tender inside--crispy French fries, and creamy coleslaw. Our waitress and on-duty manager checked in with us after our food arrived. Our wished for pleasant lunch was all that and more--it ended up a special occasion.

    Eggs Benedict was good but small portions. Beer cheese soup was tasty, but lukewarm.

    Average food for a buffet. Nothing was great but nothing was awful. Service was slow and intermittent. Places was loud and price was high. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t likely go again.

    The avocado grilled cheese sandwich was very good. However the fish and chips was disappointing. The batter on the fish was greasy and tasteless, falling off the fish when it should be light and crispy. The manager did have them cook another piece of fish, but again the same problem occurred as the batter was not crispy but oily. It seems the batter recipe is not correct for fish and chips. Our waitress was very polite and very accommodating in attempting to make our dinner a better one.
