A restaurant that triumphs in taste over trend, Hal's is not the typical highbrow restaurant so often equated with food of this quality. It is a place of white table cloths, flowers, warm brick, & candlelight.

Amazing service given by Adam (Happy early Birthday)! The restaurant is very loud. There is cigar smoking on the lower level. The waiters and bussers are attentive and give very descriptive menu information. Valet: $ 5

                                                                                                            Hal’s was an incredible experience. Every drink and meal was out of this world outstanding. Our server Eddie is the best in the world! Looking forward to getting back here ASAP

                                                                                                            Hal’s is by far our favorite restaurant! The steaks and sides are amazing. We’ve been going there for several years and it’s always been perfect in every way.

                                                                                                            Absolutely STELLAR!!!! The host, the service, the food…. Amazing!!!! The trout with colossal lump crab and added Beurre Blanc sauce was chef’s kiss. My husband ravedddd over the onion rings. My son, who’s a chef at another steakhouse said it was AMAZING and he’s sooo hard to please lol. It really was such a great dining experience. 10 out of 10!!!!

                                                                                                            As a semi-regular guest at Hal's, I made a reservation over two weeks in advance and specifically requested a table on the patio upstairs for a business meeting with customers. Given the noise level in the main dining area during peak hours, I had hoped for a quieter setting. Unfortunately, our party of five was seated in a high-traffic area near the waitstaff station, with a table so close to another that one of the chairs was unusable. This made for an awkward dining experience, as we had to lean in just to hear each other over the surrounding noise. Additionally, two of my guests were frequently bumped by passing waitstaff, and there was constant foot traffic around our table. I feel like we were given the worst table in the house for some reason? That said, the food was outstanding—as expected from Hal’s. Their steaks remain some of the best in Atlanta, if not the country. I also took home two orders of their spaghetti (Pasta Asciutta), which is a rare and exceptional find that I always enjoy. Despite the seating issue, our server (whose name I unfortunately don’t recall) was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout the meal. While the experience wasn’t ideal due to the table placement, the food and service were still top-notch.
