   The ambience is nice. Old school in a good way. But the food was almost inedible. Used to be good. Waitress was nice.

   Delicious lunch tacos, grilled shrimp and grilled mahi with homemade chips and salsa! Loved it all! Girlfriend had chowder bread bowl and it was also great! We had a wonderful time on Wednesday! Thank you!

   The restaurant had lovely views over the marina and the staff were very helpful. Our waiter, Michael, was really good. The food was great. We had the California Halibut and the Hawaian chicken. Both were delicious. Another restaurant to add to our list of restaurants to return to when in the area.

   On a winter's Friday evening, the lounge was crowded but at 5pm we easily got a great dining room booth with an amazing sunset view. Food and cocktails aren't fancy, but solidly very good throughout the menu. The petite filet (with coconut shrimp) was the most tender my wife has ever had! The Hawaiian Martini is excellent!

   My family has enjoyed Harpoon Henry’s for many decades now!! Lovely people, great fresh sea food, salads and sandwiches— and in beautiful Dana Pt. We are very sad to hear they will be closing their doors in the coming months. Our family thanks all of the Harpoon Henry’s “family” for all of the years of fabulous food, service and a special place where we celebrated life’s special moments together.

   We had a wonderful lunch at Harpoon Henry’s celebrating my birthday! Their calamari steak is the very best anywhere, plus the asparagus, rice pilaf and cocktails were excellent. Love the restaurant ambience, as well as looking out at the harbor. We’re extremely upset to hear this restaurant will be closing this summer. No matter what restaurant replaces it, it will not measure up to Harpoon Henry’s. (We hear it will be “Javier’s.” If so, no thanks! They serve very mediocre, VERY over-priced Mexican food.) If the rent will be too high due to the harbor renovation, or if not invited to stay, perhaps Harpoon Henry’s will consider moving to another location in Dana Point or other nearby spot? WE HOPE SO!!

   We enjoyed eating outside in the patio area. The calamari strips were delicious and so were the fish tacos The service was excellent.

    We always enjoy going to Harpoon Henry’s. The food is always good. The servers are always friendly and polite. And the view of the harbor is beautiful.
