The Hotel McDonald will always hold a special place in my heart of beautiful family get-togethers, in a place that is not just memorable but outstanding!!! The setting of the harvest room alone makes it a top drawer pick! The food served on real china was excellent, the service timely and the friendly staff make it the perfect destination for any celebration. Thank you for exceeding my expectations and providing a memory that will be savoured.

Do Not go for the nutcracker high tea,the Prosecco at the start was great,also the tea and service.The food was a 1/10,The salmon gravlax pinwheel was about the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth and I love salmon.I would compare it to a cat food at best.The rest were about a 3/10.The desserts were about a 3/10.I would compare these desserts to less than something Safeway would sell. My daughter’s pre birthday complementary piece of cake was lovely and very well presented. This whole afternoon experience was $348. The parking was $25. I booked this as a pre-birthday for my girls to treat them,now that they are at an age to be able to enjoy the supposed finer dining experience .All 3 of us while loving the idea of this experience,we’re beyond disappointed in what was served.

The sandwiches were a bit stale and many of the items were less than fresh. It’s hard to accomplish with the crowds Fairmount is going for. They have sacrificed quality in search of streamlining costs by making this templated experience a bit of a facsimile of a true experience. Overall not bad.

The service was awesome and the good exquisite! So nice to be able to chat without shouting or having trouble hearing your spouse. We were there for his birthday and it truly was a lovely dinner.

I recently visited the Fairmont Hotel for afternoon tea with my father, and I have to say it was a truly disappointing experience. The alternative food options provided for us due to our dietary restrictions were subpar at best. The panna cotta was rock-hard and completely inedible, which was completely unexpected from a renowned establishment like the Fairmont. To make matters worse, the service was lackluster. The waiter was inattentive and didn’t check in on us, leaving us with cold tea and no refills despite asking for more hot water. The lack of basic hospitality was shocking, especially given the reputation of the hotel. To top it all off, when I asked the waiter to pack some of my food to take away, he ignored my request and proceeded to throw my sandwich away. Even more unsettling, he added a tip to the bill without asking for my consent, which I found completely inappropriate. I have also tried reaching out to the hotel multiple times to express my concerns, but I have yet to receive any response. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I will be reconsidering whether I would return to this establishment in the future. I expected much more from a hotel of this caliber.

The food was exceptional. I had the prime rib, mushroom soup and the chocolate dessert. Portions were larger than I expected. My partner had the elk steak, carpaccio and the pear tart. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was quiet and the dining room was stunning. We parked valet and it was easy.

The service was prompt and professional, he was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was incredible! My Husband and I had never been there before, we were not disappointed! Thank you for making our Anniversary even more memorable!

Everything was messed up. Brought me wrong tea, wrong dessert. My son’s steak was cooked twice just to be overcooked both times. Appetizers were excellent: mushroom soup and beet salad. Overall not a very pleasant experience.
