HAVEN is an upscale eatery set in a loft with exposed brick walls, warm pecky cypress woods and soft amber lighting. The cuisine is modern American influenced by French, continental and hints of new southern. HAVEN has enjoyed remarkable success during the past seven years. Voted a top ten restaurant for six years straight, HAVEN has become quite the Atlanta destination. Haven is located in the heart of Brookhaven in the wonderfully charming Village Park Place development. The restaurant is nestled in a popular historical neighborhood one mile north of Buckhead.

                                                                                  The gumbo was mostly rice with 2 shrimp, two pieces of chicken, and hardly any andouille sausage. We were seated on heated patio near the plastic wall. Each time the servers went in or out, the plastic slammed back and forth. Server was friendly though.

                                                                                  I had the best salmon ever! That carrot cake was outta this world. The server was very attentive. Can’t wait to visit again when the weather gets warmer.

                                                                                  Waiter was not on his game. Didn’t pay attention and seemed to take way too long to manage basic requests. Don’t know if he just had an off night but not good. He may need to think about going into some other profession.

                                                                                  I did not know some of the items usually offered on the weekday menu are not offered for brunch Saturdays and Sundays. Some of these not offered are the most popular items. It seems the kitchen runs the restaurant because take out is also not offered some days. Usually, the owner and managers run a restaurant but not at Haven, which results extra people not being hired for the busier hours. I won’t be going to the brunches on the weekends.
