    Waited 15+ minutes for reservation took 30 min to get food it was cold and shrimp was tasteless didn’t check drinks until after finished eating most likely won’t return

    I’m a fan of this place but this year it fell short. I made reservations in advance and requested a specific seating area for our gathering, we were in a room with no view and several large parties and lots of older people. It was very loud and we had a hard time having conversation and couldn’t hear the live band. The service was not up to par, our waitress was nice but not tentative. It took so long for us to order we ordered everything at the same time but obviously expecting the appetizer would come out first. Instead the salad came out first then the appetizer. Food came to quickly after that and she tabbed us without even asking if we would like another drink. This is the first sub par experience I’ve ever had here. The crab cakes were a a bit overcooked and tiny compared to the usual order. The entrees were good as expected. Cocktails were just ok, I’ve had way better lemon drop martinis. Thumbs down on ambiance and service this visit. Meh on everything else this visit.

    We love Hefner Grill, but this evening, it missed the mark. The service was excellent, but the food was poor. Bland, overcooked, the trout was inedible. I’m sure this was just a fluke given it was a busy holiday, but we were disappointed this evening.

    Usually very good but tonight the salmon was over cooked and the vegetables were undercooked. Getting food was very slow. Our waitress was excellent service.

    Great food, our appetizer was a little bit more flavorful than we would have liked but overall the food was delicious! Did a great job at celebrating my mom’s birthday!

    Our server was fantastic. She knew when to stop by and when to just give us a glance to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.

    I've been to Hefner Grill numerous times but last night was one of the best. The chef was on point with every dish as far as portion size ans taste. Also our server Molly was amazing!!
