   Amazing experience! The food just kept on delighting and continued to impress with every thing we ordered. It was the perfect ambience and food to properly celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was on point and we left feeling like it was one of the best birthday dinner experiences we’ve ever had.

   The food was fantastic. Don't snooze on the baba Ganoush. The staff was also incredible.

   Everything was perfect from start to finish. Lovely cocktails, unique and flavorful appetizers, and the entire (mine the NY strip) cooked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely frequent.

   Such an amazing night! My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary and they made the night unforgettable for us. Perfect food and outstanding service!

   I am a fan of treating myself to solo dinners and the staff were incredible warm and welcoming making it a great experience. I started off with the pork belly, followed by the eggplant and finished up with the date cake with toffee sauce and black walnut ice cream which is A MUST! This is not my first time at this restaurant, I just like it so much it's become a staple to my favorite restaurants list.

   It was an amazing experience. The birthday of my fiancé, and we both were experiencing first time there. Starting from the seat, ambience stuff, people, decoration, lightning, and authenticity  was one of a kind. Server is really helpful and makes great recommendations which I haven’t eaten a pork like this for a long time during is fabulous. They also surprised my fiancé with a little cake which was so cute. I will definitely recommend going there. Would love to visit anytime soon again thank you so much. See you later.

    As fans of Brian Malarkey, we made Herb & Wood a must-stop on our San Diego trip—and it delivered on every level. The space is stunning: sophisticated and artfully designed, yet still cozy and welcoming. On a cool evening, being seated right by the fire was a perfect touch. The food? Elevated, balanced, and memorable. The baba ghanoush was smoky and silky, the kind of dish that lingers in your memory. The kids’ pasta was surprisingly elevated—simple but executed with finesse. The pork secreto was a standout, cooked to absolute perfection, and the spicy eggplant brought heat and complexity (though a bit much for my wife, and to our surprise, our gracious waitress removed it from the check without us even asking). And then—the date cake. A revelation. Moist, subtly spiced, paired with rich accompaniments and nuanced enough to silence the table. A dessert so good it should be protected by national ordinance. Which made it all the more shocking when, to our dismay, our waitress informed us it’s being removed from the menu—a monumental mistake or miscalculation, in our opinion. From the thoughtful service to the kid-friendly hospitality in a fine dining environment, Herb & Wood hits that rare sweet spot between polish and heart. Five stars. We’ll be back—and we’ll be asking about that date cake.
