Hinoki & the Bird is a travel-inspired restaurant that pushes modern California cooking to vibrant new bounds. Taking cues from travels through the Silk Road, the restaurant serves as a colorful kaleidoscope where bright flavors, a healthful sensibility, and technique harmoniously collide. The Milo Garcia-designed indoor/outdoor space is housed on the ground floor of The Century condominium tower.

                                          Always delicious cuisine and beyond excellent service! There’s something for everyone for sure. Extensive wine and cocktail lists. Recommend the whole duck (deliciously not dry) and the crispy chicken, vegetarian options also.

                                          We made reservations. They said they were closed even though we had reservations. They were very rude. Don't go there! Save yourself the trouble.

                                          The service was a lot slower than the times I have gone before. I went a couple hours before they closed and it wasn’t super busy but it took long to get our food. The drinks weren’t as good either as I remember and overall, it was too expensive for what we got. We won’t be returning.

                                          Food is out of this world and service is top notch. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and they made sure we felt celebrated. They offered us champagne and dessert on the house. It was totally unexpected and made the best of our night.

                                          Normally love everything about this place. However chef was heavy handed with salt this time. Could only finish half our food due to the sodium erosion on our palette. Service, as usual, amazing!
