Our experience at Hook & Plow was very pleasant and the food was well prepared. For a hotel casual eatery it met all of our expectations.

Usually enjoy eating here. Went for dinner and food took over an hour to come out and was not great

Food was terrible and grossly overpriced. Service was equally bad - long delays and server just comment “I can’t control the kitchen”. We were just waiting for a pice of cheesecake.

OK well the prices are high. But then your food shows up and you see why. The portions are huge. From the size of the beef welly to the boat meal. The food is alright. Some are very good and some are alright. The staff are really good.

Our server made the difference in an okay meal and a great meal. I ordered a cocktail that I didn’t particularly like, and he switched it for a better one; he was very attentive, and made suggestions for our whole stay- for example, with 9 people to seat, he suggested that someone go downstairs and reserve a table about 30 minutes before we wanted to eat- so they could arrange the tables. We wouldn’t have thought of this for breakfast. He was helpful with each of the dishes, and made suggestions. It made a difference in our meal together.
