Garlic Bread
Ciabatta bread coated in garlic butter with a crispy Parmesan top. Garnished with paprika and fresh parsley. Served with organic marinara dipping sauce.
Chicken Strips Basket
A natural chicken breast coated in our gluten-free batter, fried crispy, and cut into strips. Served with fries and dipping sauce. Choose honey mustard, ranch or marinara.
Black Bean Turkey Chili
Seasoned ground turkey cooked with tomatoes, red peppers, celery, jalapenos, spices, and organic black beans. Garnished with cilantro and tortilla strips. Add melted cheese, sour cream, or chopped red onions for an extra kick! Gluten-free.
Organic Chicken & Rice Soup
Organic chicken with organic celery, carrots, garlic, onions, fresh thyme and organic brown rice. Gluten-free.
Butternut Squash Soup
Roasted butternut squash blended with organic carrots & celery, onions, garlic, fresh thyme, almond milk, and a hint of curry. Topped with toasted pumpkin seeds. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. Contains nuts.
French Onion Soup
Traditional French onion soup slow cooked with marsala wine, thyme, garlic, olive oil, and spices. Served with croutons and melted Swiss cheese. Vegetarian, can be vegan or gluten-free.

Mexican Salad
Diced grilled chicken breast or herb-marinated organic grilled tofu, romaine lettuce, organic black beans, avocado, olives, pico de gallo and Parmesan cheese and tossed in a caesar dressing. Gluten free, can be vegan, can be vegetarian.
Asian Chopped Salad
Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, julienned red & green cabbage, red bell pepper, jicama, and carrots, mixed with organic baby arugula, green onions, and orange pieces. Tossed in sesame dressing and garnished with toasted almonds. Gluten-free. Can be vegan. Contains nuts.
Power of Green Salad
Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, chopped spinach, organic leafy greens, broccoli, green beans, asparagus, dried cherries, and avocado. Tossed in sherry vinaigrette and topped with toasted sunflower seeds.
Quinoa Beet Salad
Sweet cooked beets, carrots, scallions, and organic mixed lettuce tossed with dried cherries, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese in a sherry vinaigrette. Vegetarian, gluten free, can be vegan.
Garden Salad
A base of organic mixed greens and kale with carrots, grape tomatoes, cucumber, and cooked beets in a balsamic vinaigrette. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free.
Caesar Salad
Chopped romaine cut and tossed with garlic-herb croutons and Parmesan cheese. Vegetarian, can be vegan, can be gluten-free.
Citrus Salad
Grilled chicken breast or marinated organic tofu, shredded spinach & radicchio, fresh oranges pieces, brown sugar walnuts, avocado, Roma tomatoes, and Gorgonzola cheese tossed in our citrus dressing. Contains nuts. Gluten-free. Can be vegan or vegetarian.

I had been there a couple weeks ago with 6 people total and everyone was very disappointed with the food quality. Even my very green casserole, a dish I have ordered for years wasn’t the same. I didn’t plan on going back again. Then, a friend wanted to meet there for breakfast. I usually order the breakfast salad and figured, “Okay, this is it. I’m giving this place one more chance.” And guess what? The breakfast salad was better than ever! Maybe we had a different cook on that dinner night? No idea what happened. I will definitely go back for the breakfast salad, that’s for sure.

We were excited to try Hugo’s while visiting LA as the entire menu is gluten free. The special menu had pumpkin pancakes which were phenomenal. I enjoyed every bite. I was excited to see cornbread offered as part of another dish and asked if I could have a side of cornbread. The cornbread unfortunately was not served at room temperature and was dried out. I added some of my syrup to it which helped add moisture as the flavor was good. I was told the four cheese macaroni and cheese with the GF penne was very good as was the omelette. Dessert offerings of peach cobbler and pumpkin pie were also enjoyed, though a comment was made that the pumpkin pie was a little heavy on the cinnamon and other spices.

Everything at Hugo’s is overpriced, poorly prepared, woefully over or under seasoned and generally crap. Pass.
