   hate to be told, as soon as we arrived, that we require the table back by 6.30 yet when we left the restaurant was still only half full. usually I do not go back when told this but I will return.

   Spent a birthday voucher on our meal and it was the perfect birthday present. Atmosphere was perfect - a busyness and buzz but nothing too loud or frantic, a lovely table, and as always superb food. The sharing platter as a starter was crammed full of delights, and pairing that with a beautiful Valpolicella Ripasso made the ideal start to a meal. Everything else we had was fresh and delicious, and service was just right - attentive but not in your face. Great night.

   Busy but welcoming atmosphere directly opposite the city halls venue. Dined off the pre theatre show menu excellent value and a good variety of proper Italian food. Great food and service I was delighted by my choice.

   Delicious food - all dishes freshly prepared and everyone loved their food. Staff very friendly and efficient service, even when the restaurant was busy early Saturday night. Look forward to returning soon!

   Changed the table reservations three times! Staff really helpful in accommodating me. Food was lovely...Really enjoyed my meal

   Had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch last week when we took our daughter out to celebrate her birthday. Food was of a high standard and service was excellent. I was however disappointed as we had booked for the lunch offer of three small plates for £12.95 only to be told that this offer was not on. Initially I had thought that I had booked through 5pm but when I checked my history, this was not the case and I had booked through the Italian Caffe website where the £12.95 deal was being advertised. I have visited the Italian Caffe a few times for lunch and think that this lunchtime offer is a good deal and this was the real reason for booking. I do think that if you are offering a deal on your website then it should be honoured.

   We had the Christmas menu (unusually - we tend to avoid special occasion menus as over-priced). But in this case, it was tasty, varied and excellent value. The house wine was extremely acceptable :-)
