J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    Service wasnt up to par. We were told three times we couldn't have an espresso martini only because they were out of vanilla vodka which isn't even part of the typical recipe; we had to demand the drink. The waiter was slow and inattentive, took forcer to come back to the table to order our meal after finally getting drinks.

    We eat at J. Gilbert’s frequently and this time we were taken care of by a newer server, Tory, who was excellent at her job and very personable.

    The food quality is great , meals were present beautifully. They even provided bread first, for free! I know all fine dining restaurants did this before the COVID, but lots of those restaurants don’t do it anymore. Beautiful and elegant deco, also. Everything looks perfect.

    Great food. Service definitely needs some work. Very slow and server disappeared for long periods of time. We ordered as soon as we sat down and were still here for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The ribeye was one of the best I have had in a long time.

    We went on Christmas Eve and the food and service were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious.

    Worst steak I have ever had, gristly throughout and dry and looked more like a 4oz. than a 6. I was taking my son and his fiancee out for a special dinner. Son wanted me to send it back; I just was tired and disappointed with the so called reputable establishment. But I will never set foot in that place again.

    Said they couldn't find our reservation but could seat us anyway. First time we have eaten in the bar. Server was very good. Food was excellent and served at the correct temperature.
