This popular restaurant, formerly known as Giulio's of Pacific Beach, has proudly served the "Best Scampi" since 1961. We have been customers for about 40 years. The food is outstanding, but more importantly, Jack and his staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is always a great time at J&G's.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego and it’s our favorite restaurant in Old Town. We are always treated like family when we go there. All the servers have been there for many years and take great pride in giving their best. The food of course is magnificent and is prepared perfectly. We always look forward to dining there when we are in the area.

My first experience having veal, delicious Delicious, the bruschetta was crispy and full of favor. we celebrated my birthday It was as a memorable event The side dish of pasta was disappointing I would have preferred olive oil and butter But I read that changes to the menu are not accepted. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant

I have been a patron of J & G’s since it was Guillio’s in Pacific Beach. Always great Italian food and service, you might have even called it the best in San Diego. The last few times that we have dined there, the food quality seems to be slipping. Not to mention the portion size continues to get smaller. Last night one person in our party had the tortellini verde, always a hit but last night it was more like tortellini soup, the few tortellini and 5 (we counted them) mushrooms were swimming in a large bowl of sauce. Way too much sauce for the portion size. It’s sad to see the decline in one of our favorite restaurants. We’re hoping that this was a fluke and not the new norm. Cocktails were spot on and the service by Jose was excellent!
