Jessica's at Swift House Inn is located in Middlebury, Vermont, just two blocks from downtown Middlebury. Set in an 1814 stately home, surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens, Jessica's elegant atmosphere is the perfect place for a dinner for two, or a celebratory dinner for four to forty. Come experience Chef Rob Fenn's seasonal, Vermont-inspired menu for yourself!

Our Sommelier Ella Donnelly-Wright can help you choose the right bottle of wine from our extensive cellar. Jessica's is the recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for our wine list, one of only a small handful of restaurants in Vermont and fewer than 1400 restaurants world-wide which have won at this level.

Outdoor seating is weather dependent. Call to inquire.

Please note that when making a reservation online, we plan on seating your party in the dining room at that time. If you'd like to relax with a pre-dinner beverage in the bar or parlor, we invite you to arrive well before your reservation time.

    Such a warm welcome as we arrived, a very knowledgeable team, excellent cocktails in the bar before dinner, a well-versed sommelier, & a DELICIOUS menu. As a party of five, We had the duck, scallops, mussels, soups and salads, all of which we enjoyed greatly. The STICKY TOFFEE pudding was one of the very best any of us had ever had…x The fire was roaring, the ambience invited us to linger. Thank you Team Jessica for a fabulous evening.

    From the beginning bartender has very unique and really good drinks. Sommelier helped us pick a great bottle of red wine which we enjoyed with our delicious food Bo had the soup and then pasta. So so good. Every time there is availability at the hotel we look forward to stay there. My daughter just said. I love coming here us so cozy and it feels like home.

    The two of us had amazing meals! The tuna special was spectacular. Our server - and all the staff - were delightful, offering just the right amount of attention without being annoying. It feels like being in a cozy, comfortable home with inspired and outstanding food!

    Jessica’s was wonderful! My husband and I tried a few different things and loved the fireplace ambiance. The cocktail and homemade pasta really stood out! The staff could not have been nicer and were super attentive.

    Jessica’s is an excellent restaurant in every regard. From the moment you step in you are cared for in exquisite fashion . The staff is very professional. The menu and wine list are well planned and very interesting. The food is delicious, the ambience perfect and the service exactly what it should be. Our highest compliments to Matthew and crew for creating a beautiful dining experience .

    Our favorite spot in town! Everything is as it should be including the gardens outside and the interior decor. All staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

    This was a return visit for us. We have been lucky enough to stay at the Swift House and eat at Jessica’s several times each summer for the last 3 years. We love it. This dinner started with perfectly prepared martinis, and we are picky, ice cold with an ice mist. We each tried a seasonal salad, the Autumn Salad and the Farmer Salad and couldn’t decide which was best, both were excellent. My husband had the venison and I had the steak frites. Neither of us was sorry with our choice. We both enjoyed them thoroughly. The staff: Zoe, Timea and Ella were all personable and knowledgeable. We look forward to our next visit.
