   I viewed the menu online and they had a special for Tuesday a pre fix menu in which made me interested. We arrived around 5:30p and from the start I felt this was not going to end well. I ordered a old fashioned what I got in return a martini glasses with what they called an old fashioned smh, my wife ordered flavored vodka with a splash of tonic. And our appetizer to say the least was ok. Once the waitress arrived back we ask for the Tuesday special and she said that is no longer available. At the moment I ask the waitress for more time to look over the menu. Smh at this point I ask my wife how’s your drink she replied by saying let’s get out of here “I just found a bug in my drink” well I thing I can say is the waitress attending us is very apologetic and welling to do what she can to make our night better. I end up paying just for the app. And left a $20 for a well mannered waitress.

   Overall a great night. Really enjoyed our meal and the sangria. Had to take my tiramisu home because I was stuffed. Tried to eat it the next day but found it to be sickly sweet. Will try something else next time. Also an issue with a LOT of fruit flies buzzing us at the table which was annoying. I give my experience overall a 4.5 out of 5.

   They were not prepared for brunch service and did not have waffle mix or avocados (which were listed on 3 items on the menu). I will not go back.

   We were seated quickly for our 7:30 reservation but proceeded to wait more than 2 hours for our meal to conclude. Our cold appetizer took an hour to be delivered to our table! It seemed as though staff was short that evening, everyone seemed to be working hard, there just weren't enough people either in the kitchen or on the floor. Tables nearby were constantly looking around for a server. We ordered two chicken dishes and both were tough like they had sat under a heat lamp. The Mediterranean app was very good, fresh ingredients, nice portions but it should not have taken one hour to be brought out. Overall unimpressed.

   Waited quite awhile for food even though had reservation, 1 hour. Not happy with meal, scallops were soft and sparse. Too expensive for what we got$28!

   Have been to Jester's Cafe numerous times and it has always been wonderful. The food has always been great, and the service has always been fabulous. I'm hoping this was an off night. Our waitress was less than attentive (we asked for water and bread numerous times), not all the meals were as ordered, and the quality of the food was no where near what we have experienced in the past. Not sure if we'll go back.

   Friendly staff, food was excellent. Only issue was an hour wait for food to come out. Overall a great place, been there before and will come again.

   Great place in Bordentown with good drinks and food and friendly staff. Nice kids menu

    This is the second time we were here. We came back because our first experience was amazing. Unfortunately, it wasn't repeated. We came on a Saturday night with reservations, and were offered a table by the window (SCORE!). The waitress was attentive and prompt, and the food came out hot, and fast. However, that's where the good experience turned south. My Mother ordered the Chicken Parm Dinner with broccoli instead of pasta. The chick was ounded so thin that when it was cooked, it dried out completely. She had a hard time cutting it and finally gave up after trying to eat a few pieces. We had had an appetizer, so she decided to forgo the offer to replace her dinner. When the check came, there was still a charge for the meal without even a partial credit. When I questioned it, the manager came out and said that she would credit the meal, but that she had tasted it and she "didn't know what we were talking about." "The chicken was VERY tender". I thanked her for comping the uneaten meal, and we left. Note: This restaurant is out of our way. We made a point of going there to support a local business and not a chain. We won't be back, and I won't recommend it to people I know.
