Welcome to Joe Muer Seafood, Detroit's premiere seafood restaurant. We proudly continue a tradition of dining and service excellence that began in 1929. Enjoy classic fresh fish and creative seafood specialties, sparkling service, and the best riverfront views in Detroit.

    The food (seafood)was very good except for the Sushi, a little pricey , i definitely will go there again,however the attendee in the parking structure let us in without a parking ticket because we were having issues of the parking meter to accept our credit,little did we know that we had to pay $80.00 for parking since we did not have a ticket, that was highly upsetting because usually we pay $0.00 because we dined at Joe Muer's!

    What a phenomenal night, bringing in the New Year at Joe Muer’s Detroit is always Beautiful and Classy. Fine Dining with such an amazing staff! It was calm and fun and so truly enjoyable. The Food was DELICIOUS and The Cocktails were PERFECT!!

    We live in Kalamazoo and we talked about ringing in the New Year in Detroit. We kept hearing about Joe Muer’s and elected to make reservations and honestly, we were disappointed. The folks up front greeted us with a warm welcome and they were great! We elected to dine at the bar. No smile, no name introduction….just transactional. After finishing our drinks, we ordered an appetizer at the same time we ordered dinner. Never came out until after our dinner. My wife ordered her 2nd drink and after literally 15 minutes, we had to ask again about getting her drink. I ordered the Dover Sole (which was very good) and she ordered a Delmonico and it was tough with little flavor. Not once did he ask how things were during dinner. When our appetizer came out, he asked “do u just want me to cancel this?” We looked at each other in amazement and said “we’re good”. No apology…nothing. We asked for our bill only to learn that it included a 20% tip. We were disappointed to end the year this way and walked away with a $250 dining experience for 2 that was underwhelming to say the least. Everyone is entitled to an off night, but this really put a damper on our experience.

    Started the night off with dinner at Joe Muer’s and Marvin made our experience perfect! Thank you so much Marvin. Had the Surf and Turf and my Fillet was cooked perfectly with the lobster a close second My wife had the Salmon Duart and it was also expertly cooked. Thanks again to the staff at Joe Muer for started off our night with a great experience.

    Ordered a medium rare hamburger but it was charred and overdone and dry. We had to wait forever for our food and the waiter was nowhere to be seen. Very disappointed. Joe Muer has slipped apparently.

    Food was top shelf 4/5 per usual and wait staff were 4/5 but must have had issues in the kitchen. On time reservation, party of 6, seated and ordered a drink, took a while then ordered apps, delivered timely and were 5/5. Ordered dinner and took forever over 1:20, not happy. Food was good but maybe under the heat lamps a bit too long?? Dessert was great and on time. 6:45 reservation but left at 10:10… not sure how 6 entrees took 1:29 to prepare and serve.

    For our first experience at Joe Muer's, we were underwhelmed. Not with the food, that was excellent, and they got our allergy situation right! It was the slow service, and the excessive waiting for hor d'ourves, food, drinks, entrees...etc. We were seated by a table of 12, which made for a loud experience and although that couldn't be known ahead, it was distracting for our family. Food was delicious, especially the salmon, scallops, lobster, and the short ribs!
