Joe Weiss, and his wife Jennie, discovered this unknown delicacy in the early 1920s, and soon after, began serving them at their restaurant in Miami Beach. Che dire! Qualità e cottura del cibo scadente. Abbiamo preso dei calamari fritti che erano unti e bisunti. Poi dei gamberi fritti con le patatine fritte, idem come sopra. Una patata al forno che sarebbe anche facile da fare, ma sono riusciti a cannare anche quella. In aggiunta un piatto di pesce alla griglia composto da: 6/7 cappe sante piene di sabbia, 3 pezzi di simil aragosta e 4 gamberoni. Il tutto senza gusto ed il cibo navigava in un liquido che nulla avrebbe a che vedere con una grigliata! Il tutto per la modica cifra di 150 $. Ed il problema non sono i 150 $ di cui sopra, ma il fatto che la qualità era forse buona per un conto da 50 $ totali. Non abbiamo idea di come siano i granchi, che sembra siano il loro piatto forte, ma se volete andare per mangiare altro cambiate ristorante! Sconsigliato!

Buono ma ci aspettavamo meglio. Siamo stati a cena e c'era tanta gente e confusione, forse siamo stati sfortunati e non era la serata giusta. Abbiamo dovuto attendere all'ingresso mezz'ora nonostante la prenotazione e ogni volta che aprivano la porta per entrare o uscire entrava il gelo. Il cibo buono e servito bene, i camerieri gentili ma talmente indaffarati da non avere tempo per scambiare due parole. Credo sia un locale più adatto a serate con amici piuttosto che per una cena romantica.
