King Umberto had brought the delicious taste of Italy to the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Meacham Avenue since 1976. We offer a welcoming elegant decor with superior service, perfect for any large group or parties of two. In addition to having a warm atmosphere we carry an extensive wine list, that consists of over 350 wines, with years vertical, and is recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine with an award of excellence in 2010. When it comes to our large selection of generous mouth watering appetizers and main courses we know how to please. Famous for the original Fried Capellini® and daily specials prepared by executive chefs Pietro Fuschetto and Giovanni Lombardi. Our menu is classic Italian cuisine with a worldly influence and will surely leave you satisfied, but you can't seem to leave without indulging in our homemade desserts.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Everyone was attentive and so festive. We had a wonderful time and would go back again.

It was super busy being it was New Years Eve and Billy Joel was playing down the road, yet we were seated timely in accordance with our reservations. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The taste of the food was excellent while the temperatures of the entrees could have been hotter. I will go back.

We had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner at this restaurant. Our servers name was Erick and there were sooooo many employees working and every single one of them were hustling. Food and dessert were top notch and we sat in the “patio” section which was decorated so beautifully for the holidays. Highly recommend

Great food. Great service. Great dining experience. Enjoyed everything we ordered. !Calamari. Lobster ravioli Burrata appetizer plate. Chicken Veal & fish entrees. Delicious. Even Had one of the best Cappuccinos I’ve had in long time. Of course we’ll be going back Thank you to all M Martin

The specials were amazing, all meat tender and sauces on point. Service was efficient and timely. Lovely decor and environment.

King Umberto's: A Long Island Institution "For over 30 years, King Umberto's has been my go-to for both birthday celebrations and holiday feasts. It truly is an institution! The food and service consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience. I'm always impressed by the waiters' remarkable ability to remember orders without writing them down – a testament to true old-school service. The patio is a lovely and spacious addition, perfect for enjoying the warmer months. And let's not forget the holiday specials – they're always a delicious treat. Highly recommend!" Fried capellini is a must ! Chicken Marsala , and the seafood pasta dishes are all excellent

I really wanted to love this place. Servers are nice, the space is gorgeous, especially for Christmas but the food is what drives it down. Bland or over salted, I wish they cared more about what they served because it could be so much more.

Always fun to visit King Umbertos. They have remained so consistent over the years. They were really hoppin last night, but dinner flowed nicely. Wait staff was great.
