   Our waiter was 75% deaf as he informed us. He was very slow. We ordered cocktails and the glasses were dirty. The fried green tomatoes were not fully ripe so they were not as tender and the batter was very thick. The blacked drum fish was good however it wasn’t blackened. The scallop fettuccine was good. I advised that we were celebrating our anniversary however it was not acknowledged. It was an underwhelming experience and we won’t be back.

   Drinks didn't arrive until 20 minutes into ordering. Food was lukewarm at best, and the vegetables seemed to be reheated from frozen vegetables.

   We happened to be reserved to eat during a parade, which rendered the restaurant dis-operational. None of the staff could be bothered to look up, much less acknowledge our existence. So there was no table, no dinner, nothing but a resolution to eat somewhere else, where our money and patronage is valued.

   Outstanding meal and service. I had the red beans and rice with fried chicken and it was the best red beans I’ve ever had! The chicken was great but that BBQ sauce, OMG!! My wife had the chicken and apple salad and it was outstanding as well. Our server Melissa was so nice, she was quick, efficient and so friendly. We LOVED Kingfish. Only thing that sucks is we leave today and can’t go back tonight.

   Nothing special as to the food dishes we had. Vegetables were like warm. Seems like as restaurant trying to be high end needs to work on food and service.

   I really dislike writing a bad review but when customer service is so horrible & everything else is exceptional it’s a real shame. Mind you I made a reservation because we were on vacation with our children , celebrating a birthday, & crunched for time. We arrived early, not greeted, & totally ignored while someone who was dressed casually (who later I find out was a manager or owner) (really should know better) was just having a long convo with someone who looked like a server right at the entrance. The convo was so long that people were asking me if I worked there. When she finally talks to me she was so rude & unwelcoming. Then tries to sit us at a table for 4 when I clearly told her twice we were a party of 5 & even my reservation had that info. Then our server gets changed & was not friendly at all. Our prior visit was no where near this bad with service. It’s unfortunate but you lost us & all our friends as customers & hope no one else is treated this way.

Although it looks like we were on spot with Food, Ambience and Value, we obviously missed on Service and we greatly apologize for that.    The red beans and rice with chicken tenders was amazing, the gumbo had good flavor but it was only luke warm and they don’t serve any Jack Daniels products which was unusual for a restaurant bar.

   Service took a long time from the time we sat down to the time you left once we were noticed they were a little quicker, but then we waited 20 minutes for her to go desserts, which was totally unacceptable

    The process to book the reservation was easy and the food was delicious. 10/10 fried chicken and collard greens. The bourbon pecan pie was the best I have ever had as a pecan pie enthusiast. Next time I visit NOLA I will be back at Kingfish.
