Established in 1998, King’s Fish House is Orange’s choice for seafood. Located at the Stadium Promenade and minutes away from Angels Stadium and the Honda Center, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

Excellent Everything, Food Delicious, Service Great, Accommodating when called to add 1 more to our reservation day before, Love sitting Outside for the literally Warm ambiance, Heaters make you forget What the actual outside temps are. And perhaps an odd comment, One of our Group is really not a Fish eater and ordered accordingly , but appreciated how Outdoors it didnt particularly smell of fish. Obviously not a concern for the rest of us . Definitely shall come back ...

My mom is a huge fan of Kings primarily because of the memories shared between her and her former husband who has since passed. I’ll start off by saying that the front desk was gracious and though busy, still maintained composure and made sure we were seated as quickly as our reservation time came up. The food is consistent with the times I’ve taken my mom there to eat. However, this restaurant always falls short when it comes to service. I can’t tell if it’s just the staff energy level or training or being busy. This last visit our server seemed as though she was going through the motions. I know it’s New Year’s Eve but that shouldn’t be an excuse. When she greeted us it felt like we were imposing on her. She rarely checked on the table and when she did, when my 10 year old asked for more bread, she failed to bring it back out. This on top of the fact that she took my child’s order wrong and put in a “full” size burger rather than the kids burger meal. Even when we asked for 2 boxes she brought one and when my mom asked for the other and a bag, she walked off and later came back with just the other box, and no bag. I am not someone who will complain about things when I dine out. I literally spend 4 nights a week at restaurants. I have dined in some amazing “Michelin starred” restaurants as well as some equally amazing family own eateries. I too was a server for sever years at Houston’s as well as a chef owned restaurant so I get it. However, this experience was just the same as always and I felt compelled to review it this time. Not a fan despite my mom’s desire to only eat there when I take her to dinner.

Great service! Clean, fun atmosphere, comfortable tables. The star of the experience were the oysters and clam chowder.

Once again a great meal at Kings! We arrived at an early 11:00 am and they were ready for us. Service was excellent and food was spot on. We had a bit of a time crunch and they handled with ease. Manager dropped by to say hello and check on us. Well done.

King's is always GREAT! We are warming welcomed by staff who recognize us. Hubby was in the mood for Linguini with Clams -- served piping hot and perfectly seasoned. I opted for the Wild Eastern Scallops, with zucchini and baked potato. We had to pass on dessert, as we were both too full. (Honest, we only had a little bit of bread. . .) Until next time - Thank you!!
