Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. For the love of her, Orion forged the island for wild game and seafood to prepare elaborate banquets in celebration of their love. Today, we hope you will enjoy your own celebration as you dine at Kokkari Estiatorio on food “fit for the Gods” prepared with an Aegean palate and the style of innovative California fare.

Posto incantevole, personale magnifico ed attento ad ogni dettaglio, cibo superlativo. Noi conosciamo la cucina greca e questo posto la fa alla perfezione. Tutto è perfetto e ottimo. Grazie per il dolce in onore della nostra Honeymoon. Speriamo di ritornare

Locale magnifico, sevizio veloce e attento, molto ben frequentato. Indirizzo top da non perdere tempo in questo momento a Frisco ( maggio 2019).

We had a bad experience. It was my friends birthday So it was suppose to be a special occasion. It started with the appetizers just ok then the Greek salad came it was dressed with a strong vinegar dressing that had little to no oil and that was it. It was not good it was over powered by vinegar then the main course I had the Lamb chops that I order medium and came raw not even pink it was not cooked very rare and my friends chicken had raw spots in her chicken. Then desert we ordered The Baklava tasted of strong clove not editable and the doughnuts were just terrible. The manager was not apologetic he just made up excuses. I was very surprised because in the past the food had been amazing and one of my favorite spots. I’m not sure if this Resturant had undergone new ownership or the amazing chef has left. Bottom line very disappointed.

I don’t usually write reviews but today I feel the need to do do. While the ambience and service were excellent our food was just ok! We had the lamb and it was very chewy! We were both disappointed with our good. This is our second time being but will give it a break for now!

Everything we had for dinner was fabulous & the Kokkari lamb chops and potatoes to this day are the very best anywhere! We took some home with us too! We had each of the 4 Greek wines by the glass and each one special well priced and wonderful and the bottled wine program is so impressive! It’s a treasure chest of excellent wines so we look forward to going back with friends to enjoy more. The staff is great & Daria our wait person was so knowledgeable and attentive and the servers and back of house seemed so perfectly in sync with every dish! Everything was delicious and presented perfectly. It is so obvious why Kokkari remains one of the countries top restaurants! I was able to buy 2 of the coveted Kokkari cookbooks too I had been looking for which are hard to find. I Recommend you go with friends so you can try several of the wonderful smaller shareable plates ( Meze) in addition to great entrees . Every dish was so good! Thank you Kokkari for our wonderful dining experience.
