The Krebs is an historic restaurant founded in 1899 by Fred and Cora Krebs. The restaurant has been a popular landmark in Skaneateles for over a century, serving presidents, dignitaries and celebrities. The Krebs was re-opened after undergoing a complete renovation while carefully preserving the history and ambiance that visitors have grown accustomed to. The restaurant is a farm to table concept that utilizes the freshest hand selected local ingredients and the highest quality meats and seafood. All profits from the restaurant are donated to local women and children's charities of Central New York.

                                                          Not sure what happened to The Krebs. Of course the ambiance was beautiful but our two entrees were underseasoned and lacked depth of flavor, and one was undercooked. Service was super slow until we got the attention of a waiter who was great the rest of our stay, but it seemed the kitchen was slow, too. We had to order dessert and pay our bill before done with our entrees just to ensure we stayed on time for our reserved Uber, which we had already added half an hour to before our entrees were ordered. It was to be a special treat to go to The Krebs, and we wished we had made a different choice simply because the “delicious” factor wasn’t there.

                                                          The food and service are excellent but what really sets this apart from others is the atmosphere and coziness. Couldn’t be any more relaxing.

                                                          Our reservation was at 7:30pm and when we ordered they said they were out of the Salmon (on the menu). Very disappointed about that, but overall the food and service was good.

                                                          The service, while pleasant, was painfully slow. Tea came out just warm(they did remedy this) and one meal was also not hot. But, they did compensate us as we were not willing to wait longer for a hot meal. Overall it was very nice

                                                          Krebs is always such a fabulous place that we go every time we are in town. Great food and great service. Erica treated us to an excellent dinner last night. Can’t wait to visit again.
