LA BONNE TABLE is a cozy and intimate restaurant in the heart of the bustling neighborhood of Hillcrest. We serve country french food in a bistro fashion. Our menu consists of classic french dishes, a modest but excellent selection that will change with the seasons. We offer a romantic atmosphere and elegant setting, full bar and french beer on tap. First time there, for early Valentines Day. Intimate yet lively, appropriately romantic for the evening. Attentive server, very professional. Menu with traditional dishes and perfectly cooked. Reasonably priced. Great experience, recommend it and would go there again.

Quaint place. Attentive service. Good food. Will come back to try the more traditional dishes. We had the duck confit and the mussels.

La Bonne Table made for a splendid dinner. The vibe was homey yet classy, and the service was friendly while still allowing the guest space. The cocktail options are classic with creative descriptions, making that experience particularly enjoyable. And of course, the food. This was the best escargot I’ve had in a long time: they were cooked to a sizzling delight, with the perfect buttery sauce and nice puff pastry tops for each. The presentation matched the flavor. Even the classic jazz music contributed favorably to the ambience. I may have found my new regular dinner location when visiting San Diego.

This is a very intimate and quiet restaurant with limited seating. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were tasty and wine pairing recommendation was perfect. Food was very good and portions were substantial.
