                                                                                                                      La Bussola is an old time Italian restaurant serving up the the most delicious cuisine. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance with its walls complimented with photos of the owner’s family photos ❤️The staff was so professional and Carlo , the owner, was ever present, chatting with all the diners. I have hosted many celebrations here and also come for date nights. La Bussola never disappoints!

                                                                                                                      It was a ten! Delicious. I had the branzino and my mother had the veal franchise. The ricotta cheese cake was the best I had. Martinis were perfect and although we didn’t do vino on this visit, the wine list looked excellent. Already booked another resi for next week!

Could not order off of the normal menu. Was very over priced and portions were small. While service was decent, food was ok. Will not be returning.

                                                                                                                      We went Valentine's Day, when owner Carlo put up a fixed price menu. There was a good choice of options in all three courses, however also a $15 up-charge for the braised beef short ribs, which is always a great dish, but I thought was somewhat pricey. I opted for the pork chop, which was pounded flat then fried, with a salad on top. Very tasty. For dessert we shared the always fabulous Napoleon,, and took the second dessert home to enjoy the following day, since we were very full. The service from David, Armando, Alex, and Carlo's son Brandon was flawless. The restaurant just celebrated their 45th year in business, and are now the longest open restaurant in Glen Cove. Highly recommended.

                                                                                                                      If you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant I highly recommend La Bussola for dinner. My husband and I went for Valentines Day and had an amazing dinner. I ordered the Dover Sole and my husband had the chicken scarperella on the bone for dinner, we ordered the grilled octopus and stuffed artichoke for an appetizer, it was delicious, all cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.
