   Weekday lunch with friends, and an attempt to unravel the mysteries of tapas. Very easy really, the 4 of us shared 12 dishes, consisting of a wide range of foods. Plenty for all and entertaining. The waitresses were Spanish, and very pleasant and helpful, although had some difficulty with my friends Bristolian humour. Only downside was a slight lack of atmosphere with not many people taking lunch. The venue itself is very nice, and a few more customers would have created a better ambience.

   Awful service - food arrived an hour and ten mins after ordering. That's very poor for a tapas restaurant. Staff kept saying the manager would be over to talk to us - but he never did. It wasn't even that busy either. Food was ok but whole experience destroyed by slow service and no explanation unless I chased. Eventually they gave us a free bottle of wine which was nice but damage was done by then.

   The food and cocktails were fine... nothing to write home about. The service, however, was pretty poor. The food took a while to arrive, and for some reason they kept bringing out food and drinks to other tables and bringing items we did not order to ours.

   My wife and I have dined regularly in this restaurant since 2007 so we were particularly disappointed on this occasion with the standard of the food. The chrizo we ordered was served with the casing still on which made it very tough to eat. The tortilla was served cold rather than hot which is the norm. The tapas potions seem to be getting smaller. All in all, a very disappointing experience following a pleasant visit to the theatre.

   This was probably one of the worst restaurant services I have ever received!! We arrived at 8 and shortly after our waitress took our order, but had forgot to put it through, we were left waiting for an hour without any of our drinks or starters! After it got put through again we were then waiting 45 minutes where our starters and mains came out at the same time and there was not enough room on the table. It was a set menu and she had forgot to take our dessert order at the start, once she took that after our main it then took another 20 minutes to tell us that they had run out of two desserts on the set menu! Once we were ready to pay she took one card payment and then started taking another tables payment leaving us waiting to the pay the rest, it was very unprofessional and disorganised!! She let the whole experience down, I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. The food was average also, I could of definitely gone to another tapas place with better quality food. During our dinner we also saw her muck up orders on the table next to us. It really put me and my partner in an irritated mood.

   Would love to review the restaurant but when we arrived the staff had no record of our booking, no idea if this is opentable or la Tasca's fault but it made for an embarrassing moment in the restaurant.

   Easy, central location, well-spaced tables, excellent service and prompt attention Friday night had live music - this was too loud for meeting up with friends and chatting over tapas and good red wine; needed to be more background atmosphere level, not belting out songs! Food & wine & service compensated for this negative, mostly.

   My wife and I arrived 5 minutes early for our booking. Which apparently hadn't been made. Fortunately there was just 11 other people in the restaurant when we arrived. We were shown to a table where we were ignored for the next 30 minutes. I was literally about to leave when a waiter arrived to take our drinks order. In the 30 minutes since we had arrived other tables had been seated had orders taken and were in fact tucking in to their starters. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived after a further 10 minute wait. Obviously it is tricky getting a pint of lager and a bottle red wine. The starter a meat sharing board for two was tiny. Fortunately the main was large and filling (meat paella) and the dessert (another sharer)was also a little on the small side. The cost was reasonable but I objected to the service charge, (I heard other customers complaining about this as well) automatically added to your bill. Needless to say I didn't pay it! The only recommendation I will give this restaurant is to avoid it!
