In the mountains of North Georgia the Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming guests since 1922. Restored in 2008, the hotel and restaurant offer the best of rustic elegance. From the antique heart pine walls to the locust beams on our deck, expect unique, local craftsmanship. The decor is rich with period antiques, hand-woven rugs, and local artwork.

It features a creatively prepared and presented Contemporary American menu with a Southern twist in the farm to table tradition. Fresh produce locally grown is hand selected and prepared by our Chef de Cuisine, whose entrees respect the natural flavors of high quality, humanely raised and locally harvested food. His kitchen produces cuisines from many regions including Classical French, Southern USA, and Mediterranean. Many guests describe the food at the Lake Rabun Hotel as "the best in the mountains."

We’ve eaten at the Lake Rabun restaurant 6 or 7 times. It has been superb every time which is why we keep going back. The food is fantastic, the Lodge and restaurant are beautiful, rustic and make you love being there and the staff are wonderful. It is a bit on the high cost side but with so few rooms and a small restaurant, to have the level of food and staff they do it has to be I’m sure. That said it is more than worth it. Every time we come up From Savannah we will either stay here or get to this restaurant to eat. It is a must for us!

Had to ask for special of the day/weekend. Had to ask for water refill. When we ordered dessert we also ordered coffee. Never got the coffee! Restaurant was not busy!!! Waitress could have been more attentive being the restaurant was not busy tonight.

My husband and I stayed here a year ago for our wedding, alongside family. We came back this year to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was just as great as we remembered. The hotel itself is cozy and feels like a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All of the staff is friendly and attentive to any needs. They remember us from last year and made us feel at home. The meals we had for breakfast and dinner were delicious. Right on par with any fine dining experience with food quality and diverse menu options. We will be back many times over the course of our lives!

The food was good. Nice Caesar salad with light dressing. Shrimp and salmon were nicely cooked but not exceptional.

We had a wonderful meal, dining with friends from out of town. Service was on point, nice selection of specials. I had the signature pecan crusted trout which was delicious. Next time I would have left off the sauce. Appetizer was calamari, salad was the mandarian oranges and strawberries. Nice to have a fine dining option near Lake Rabun and Clayton Georgia.

I recently had a business dinner at Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The rustic yet elegant ambiance provided the perfect setting for a professional yet relaxed evening. I ordered the pecan-crusted trout, which was expertly prepared—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, and complemented by a delicious sauce and fresh seasonal sides. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a business dinner, offering high-quality food, a warm atmosphere, and excellent service. I’d highly recommend it.

Another Wonderful night at Lake Rabun celebrating my grandmothers Birthday!! We always go out just the two of us for her birthday and after my experience this week we decided on Lake Rabun for her Birthday as well. We both had the Salmon and the peach glaze on the salmon was a perfect pairing. Our server Taelor made sure the night was extra special for my grandmother and I appreciate her attention to detail and going out of her way to make our night the perfect celebration.

The dinner was lovely. The food was prepared just as requested, the service was excellent & the restaurant was quiet so it was easy to have a conversation. We eat here often when we are in north GA and the inn never fails to deliver a pleasant experience with delicious food.

A native of the area, I had thought about visiting the Lake Rabun Restaurant numerous times. Something always came up. After my dinner last night you can bet I will prioritize getting back here asap! I can’t believe we didn’t know this amazing food was right here local! They had a prim rib special and it was to die for. The staff so kind and attentive .
