Franco and Noe Landini are the proud hosts of Landini Brothers restaurant. Located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, and close to the Potomac River, Landini Brothers is a well-established landmark in Northern Virginia. It has been serving northern Italian food in the traditional Tuscan style since it opened in 1976. Franco's annual visits to his family and friends in Tuscany provide him with ample opportunity to learn about the latest advances in Tuscan cuisine—knowledge he brings home for the dining pleasure of restaurant guests.     Buono. Tre consigli: 1. Il vino si versa nel bicchiere portando la bottiglia al tavolo facendola vedere al cliente, così è sicuro che quello che sta bevendo è quello che ha effettivamente ordinato; 2. Gli spaghetti con le vongole (i molluschi in genere) vanno serviti con tutte le vongole nel proprio guscio, non solo una piccola parte di esse, a garanzia della freschezza del prodotto. Altrimenti potrebbero essere un mero prodotto confezionato; 3. Il tiramisù va fatto, tra l'altro, con caffè espresso e mascarpone. Il caffè era praticamente assente e il mascarpone era stato sostituito dalla panna.

    My husband and I really enjoy dining at Landini’s. After all, this is where we went for our first date.  Therefore, it is disappointing that recently there has been a remarkable decline in the quality of service.  This makes two times in a row where there have been issues.  Landini should be concerned.  In the first case, the waiter barely acknowledged we were there, took our order, brought the wrong wine and we never saw him again!  Yesterday, we were hosting my daughter and fiancée and so we requested (Open Table) a window table (#35), but when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant does not honor special requests and so we were seated at a table facing the fireplace.  When the hostess seated us, she started to take away the silverware I reminded her that we made the reservation for 4, whereupon she argued with me and walked away shouting, “I can read, you know!”   For the record, Confirmation #: 2110397489 was for 4.  Not only was the hostess wrong, but she was rude and clearly not the best person to interact with customers.  When we left, the “doggie bag” that contained leftovers also had a roll of toilet paper.  Not sure if this was done on purpose! The food was superb, and because the table was near the bar, the bartender did check the table to see what we needed and was more attentive than the wait staff.

    What an excellent experience!! Loved everything about Landini’s. Was my son’s birthday and they had a card, decorated table and gave him a serenade with a sloc of Tiramiau with a candle. Made it special!!! Will definitely come back.

    Nice restaurant in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Very popular with locals. Food & service were both good.

    Food was excellent. Service was poor. Our servant was missing in action except for 3 encounters. We really like this restaurant but the service could be better.

    We were excited to bring out of town guests here as we constantly recommend Landini Brothers to others and encourage our offices to host Christmas parties and events here but we’re honestly a bit disappointed by the experience and service this time around. Service was slow and inattentive even though we came at an early time when most tables were empty, did not provide us with the specials for the day and forgot to bring coffee until we were nearly through the entrees. Lights were unlit on tables, etc. Overall, it just wasn’t the nice, well-worth it experience we’ve had in the past.

    Excellent food and pretty restaurant. The wait staff however was not friendly. It’s unfortunate that customer service is not important here as it’s such a lovely place to eat otherwise.
