Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. It was dinner to meet my boyfriends family and we all had a great time. I've been there a few times in the past and I always leave happy and satisfied. The service last night was kind and attentive and the food delicious and got to the table on a smooth pace. Thank you so much for all the attentions and the complimentary dessert!

Excellent, friendly, accommodating service. Inventive, flavorful food made with a lot of care and attention. But also a fun, easy place. Worked well for our group of six. On NYT's top 100 restaurant list for a reason.
